Sikkim, the small but beautiful
kingdom is situated in the eastern Himalayas.
Sikkim is termed as the Switzerland of the
east, a heavenly paradise on earth. It covers
an area of 2818 square miles 7325 square
kilometers. It is rectangular in shape with
seventy miles in the north to south and
forty easts to west. Geographically it is
28 Degree 07' 48'' degree and 27 degree
04' 46'' north latitude, and 88 degree 00'
58' and 88 degree 55' 25'' east longitude.
In the north it is bounded by Tibetan plateau
to its east is Bhutan and Chumbi valley
of Tibet and in the southern side is bounded
by West Bengal India. There are two passes
in the eastern boundary with Tibet Nathula
pass (4700m) and Jelepla(4016m). To the
west lies Singalila range which forms the
most important boundaries between Nepal
and Sikkim with a pass named Chiwabhangjang
(3400m). There are two important rivers
In Sikkim Teesta which starts from Tashidrag
Glacier in the north and Rangit which is
a tributary of Teesta River.
The state of Sikkim is mainly divided into
four divisions i.e. east, west, north and
south. Gangtok in the eastern district is
the most populated area and one of the major
tourist attractions as it is also the commercial
center of Sikkim. After the eastern district
comes the southern and western district
while the northern area is very thinly populated
because of its unfavorable climate and steep
ridges. The climate of Sikkim varies according
to the altitudes of the peaks. To avoid
severe cold it is better to visit during
the months of March to late May and between
Octobers to December.
Darjeeling Tour
Darjeeling, the queen of all hill stations,
famous for its natural beauty, clean fresh
air, year round pleasant weather and above
all, the ever smiling and welcoming local
people. The 3rd highest pick in the world,
mount Kanchanjunga is very close to this
place and also gives the clearest view.
Darjeeling is widely known as visitors paradise
because every day it offers something new

bell comes to the views when the first ray
of sun touches the mountain peak. This is
tiger hill, a steep ride of five kilometers
from Ghoom, is the place where one can witness
this heavenly feelings. Here the air is

blend of tea, foggy and smoky weather, Mountain
View and smiling face of local Gorkhi people.
Darjeeling is also a place to know Tibetan
culture, Himalayan Tribal Life, and to see
the Tibetan Monasteries, Pine Trees, Tea
garden etc. very closely.
